More and better social homes
The Regulator of Social Housing (RSH) has launched its More and Better Social Homes consultation, seeking views on proposals that will help shape the future regulatory framework for the sector and influence the next regulatory cycle from April 2028 onwards. The consultation covers key issues including economic regulation, regulatory principles and how the sector can support the delivery of more and better social homes.
To help members understand the proposals and feed into the consultation, we are hosting a More and Better Social Homes Roundtable on 6 August, bringing together chief executives and senior housing leaders for a focused discussion with Will Perry, Director of Strategy at the RSH. The session will provide an opportunity to explore the consultation themes in depth and discuss the implications for providers across the North.
Members will also have a further opportunity to raise questions and share views directly with the regulator at the next NHC/Regulator of Social Housing Bilateral on 7th September. This regular, member-led forum enables senior leaders to engage with RSH colleagues, discuss emerging policy developments and feed in sector perspectives.
