The Northern Housing Consortium is a not-for-profit membership organisation representing housing providers across the North of England. Our members include local authorities, housing associations, ALMOs and combined authorities—together managing the vast majority of social housing in the region.
We exist to connect our members, amplify their voice, and ensure the North is represented at both regional and national levels. By bringing organisations together, we help shape policy, share best practice, and tackle the biggest challenges facing housing today.
What We Do
We support our members through a range of services designed to deliver impact:
-
Policy & Influence
We represent the sector’s voice, shaping national debate and influencing decision-makers on the issues that matter most. -
Insight & Collaboration
We bring members together to share knowledge, develop solutions and respond to emerging challenges. -
Events & Engagement
Our programme of conferences, roundtables and briefings keeps members informed, connected and ahead of policy change. -
Procurement & Value
Through our procurement services, we help organisations achieve value for money and deliver efficient, compliant solutions.
Our Impact
Our members own or manage 9 out of 10 socially rented homes in the North, giving us a unique insight into the challenges and opportunities facing communities.
By working collectively, we help shape housing policy, unlock investment, and support the delivery of homes, regeneration and sustainable communities across the region.
