Local Housing Allowance (LHA) Working Group

Responding to concerns from our members about this issue, the Northern Housing Consortium have established a Local Housing Allowance (LHA) Working Group to look at, examine and share best practice around the forthcoming LHA cap; its effect on social landlords and their services. The group will be looking specifically at the impact of the cap on those tenants with furniture packs; those tenants living in high rise properties as well as the general effect of the cap on services provided by social landlords. We will also be considering strategies to mitigate the impact of the cap by sharing best practice and insight into organisational thinking.
