Job Title: Account Executive
Hours: Full Time (37 hours per week – Monday to Friday)
Salary: £37,464 per annum
Location: Flexible (Homeworking/Office) with visits to Sunderland, Tyne and Wear.
The Northern Housing Consortium (NHC) is the leading not-for-profit membership body for councils and social housing providers across the North of England, with over 40 years of expertise and influence. Through our Consortium Procurement brand, we provide procurement solutions for around 450 member organisations across the UK.
What we are looking for
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a bright, ambitious Account Executive to join our growing team. The aim of the role is to promote available procurement solutions to members of the NHC, increase take up across the membership and seek additional public sector organisations to grow our member base. Whilst, contributing to the attainment of financial targets. You will be required to work with Public Sector organisations such as housing association and local authorities, to build strong relationships, gain an understanding of their specific organisational needs and the issues they are facing to recommend an NHC solution. This role will suit someone with a positive attitude, who is keen to learn, fits our values and wants to work as part of our team. We are Member Focused. We are Collaborative. We are Innovative. A proven track record in a sales/business development is essential. You will enjoy building long term relationships with businesses and seeing the rewards that brings. This role requires someone who is comfortable presenting to individuals and groups of people, and engaging them in meetings to understand their needs and requirements. The right candidate will have confidence, tact and a persuasive manner. They will have good organisational and time management skills. It is essential that you have good interpersonal skills, as well as excellent written and verbal communication skills and understanding of project planning. An understanding of public sector procurement and efficiency agendas are preferable within the role. The role involves travel and the ability to work under pressure.
