The next meeting of the NHC Safety in Neighbourhoods Network will take place on Monday 1st October 2018, 13.00 – 15.30, in the Boardroom at Yorkshire Housing, Leeds.
The meeting will include a section on considering how housing associations, local authorities, and the emergency services can best work in partnership.
Donna Malby Frost, ASB Officer at Thirteen, will discuss how partnership working between Cleveland Police, local authorities, and Thirteen has helped reduce ASB across the Tees Valley whilst also earning the commendation of the Police and Crime Commissioner for Cleveland.
We will also be joined by Karina Gonzalez, District Prevention Manager at the West Yorkshire Fire and Rescue Service (WYFRS) to discuss how they play their part in ensuring communities are safe and well by Making Every Contact Count. Karina will also discuss WYFRS’s close partnership with Together Housing in educating residents on fire safety – a model which could be a template for other community issues.
Following the last meeting, proposals to establish a bench marking arrangement will be considered.
Time will also be dedicated to an Open Discussion where questions for the group are encouraged to be submitted in advance.
