Self representation in court can save organisations money and increase effectiveness, which is crucial in challenging financial times.
Handled incorrectly, it can waste an organisation’s money, lower staff morale and seriously damage the reputation of the organisation.
This seminar will consider in detail what Housing Officers need to know, including how to take and prepare witness statements, Gathering Evidence and the Preparation of Trial bundles, rules around Rights of Audience, Hearsay, costs, and Legal Aid. The day will culminate with a mock hearing where delegates will be able to assess their learning in a practical situation.
This is one in a series of three focused legal sessions NHC is running in conjunction with Ward Hadaway; our remaining session is Mental Health and Housing.
**Sessions are £49 members/£79 non members.**
