The connection between housing and health has never been higher on the agenda. Housing Associations are increasingly recognising the roles they can play in supporting improved health outcomes for their tenants and communities, and the beneficial impacts this has on their business.
The NHS is moving swiftly to develop new provider led partnerships that will transform how they deliver health services. And Public Health continues to embed the importance of population health across the breadth of local authority services.
This is all taking place against a backdrop of increased pressures in both health and housing, with reduced resources and increasing need. As we address the many challenges for healthcare now and in the future, a key platform for innovation will be the relationship between housing associations and NHS providers.
This conference, delivered in partnership between the Northern Housing Consortium and HACT, will explore the health challenges facing our communities, the changing operational environment for the NHS, local integration of health, housing and social care and the opportunities for housing to engage in the new models of care. With a line up of senior leaders in the NHS, Public Health, Social Care and Housing, this event will be key for those looking to extend, develop and strengthen local partnerships with health.
