The NHC and Altair annual Asset Management conference will take place on Wednesday 28 February 2018 at the studio, Manchester.
• Hear from the Social Housing Regulator on the future of regulation and the impact of the Grenfell tragedy
• Panel session including representatives from the legal, insurance and housing professions
• Professional practice sessions examining estate regeneration, stock rationalisation, strategic approaches to repairs services and more
Asset management in a post-Grenfell world could be very different. The investigations into the causes of the tragedy will report in 2018 and will almost certainly have implications for the way that we maintain and manage assets, but also potentially for building regulations and maintenance more generally.
The Regulator’s interest in how associations maintain their stock and deliver their requirements on health and safety will be influenced by the outcome of the reviews. They already have a heightened interest in and understanding of associations’ stock condition and data. The agenda on asset management technologies continues apace, as do the internal and external pressures to deliver asset management as efficiently as possible. Increasingly this means knowing your customers, not just knowing your stock.
The world of asset management is in a state of change, and many organisations are responding in different ways to these changes. Come and find out what leading thinkers, practitioners and the regulator is doing to address this changing environment.
